Izaak Brandt
LONDON, UK
A new renaissance B-boy bringing together fine art and the materials of Street Culture
Izaak is a multidisciplinary artist based in London working across dance, sculpture, film making, drawing and music. He is the producer of Brkn' Nest, an international dance and movement collaboration between the UK and South Korea exploring Breaking culture and is the founder of IHB Films video production. Brandt was exhibited at the Mall Galleries as part of the FBA Futures exhibition.
“Izaak is pretty much a dance renaissance man, starting out rooted in B-boying culture, he found a way to express his ideas through other mediums; film, sculpture, painting and putting different art forms together. Izaak created a unique sculpture and video installation for CRXSS PLATFXRM Festival in 2018 and he incorporates elements of underground culture into his work, using the basic materials; cardboard, paint pots or an old VHS recorder.”
